Old River Oaks

"Old River Oaks" was tonight's entry in the Houston Photographic Society's monthly critique and photo contest. It won third place in the Bronze Color category.

The judge suggested the image may look better in black and white, so I have included the B&W version below. I like the peaceful green in the color version, but also enjoy the contrast in the black and white. I am still undecided about which one I like best. What do you think?

Both images are available in several print sizes. Just click the images.

  1. I like the B/W version better. The textures allow more focus. The sky in the color bothers me as it draws too much attention for something that's not exciting (lightest part of photo draws most eyes).
